The World According to Eli

Please allow me to introduce myself... I am the absolutely blessed and amazingly proud mother of a pretty exceptional little boy.

His name is Eli, he is 7 years old, autistic, and amazing. Eli possesses an inner passion for photography, born and bred from somewhere deep inside of himself, nurtured by his favorite person on the planet...his Nana. Eli began taking pictures as part of his homeschool curriculum. He chose photography as his "art" and Nana jumped at the opportunity to feed the desire he had. Eli was given an old camera and shown how to zoom and focus. The rest he discovered on his own. The results have been nothing short of amazing. I wanted to find a platform to share his beautiful art so that the world may be given the chance to see the world as he does. It is truly a rare opportunity to be allowed into the mind of an Autistic person. Eli graciously allows us to enter his mind through the stunning images he captures. He has a natural eye for lines, angles, textures, and wildlife. Most of his work to date centers around these concepts. Eli has not received any formal training. Even his Nana is a beginner at photography. I'd venture to say she might be learning more from him than he is from her. Talent like this can't be taught, it's truly a living, breathing, and growing part of the person he is. I only ask that his art be respected and not reproduced, copied, or stolen. He is, after all, 7 years old. Stealing one's work is never ok, but stealing from a child is a different level of low. If you'd like prints please contact me (Mom) and we can arrange that for you.
